Webshots Animal Screensaver:

Webshots instantly became my favorite Windows screensaver because of the fantastic surfing pictures that they offer. But they also offer over 1000 other photos in picture packs that cover a wide variety of topics. For this review, I'll focus on the animal pictures offered.

First of all, the picture quality is excellent. You can easily set a single picture as your desktop wallpaper, or you can even have Webshots rotate your wallpaper. Pictures are downloaded as packs, usually consisting of around 15 pictures. I counted 6 wildlife picture packs, 1 picture pack of butterflies, 1 of birds, 5 packs of kittens and cats, 12 picture packs devoted to dogs, and 3 packs of horses.

The use of picture packs is very handy. This way you are not overwhelmed by a huge download, or forced to order a CD. It also makes it easy to update this screensaver with new photos should you become bored with the old ones. All photos can also be easily set as desktop wallpaper as well.

All in all, the Webshots screensaver gets my highest recommendation! The quality of the photos are excellent, the selection is not to be believed, and the screensaver software is highly functional and simple to use. The initial download is free, so try this one out.
